All students in Year 6 at St Michael’s play an active leadership role through the Leadership Groups. Each student is a member of one of the following groups:

• Mission Group
• Social Group
• Sport Group
• Environment Group

Each of these groups is responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe, happy and positive environment for all students. Some initiatives that they put into place have included:

• the maintenance of existing gardens and creation of new ones
• assisting with the organisation of sport carnivals
• a number of social activities for the students during lunch and afternoon tea
• the organisation of a Talent Quest
• the coordination of a morning tea to thank the volunteers who help in our school
• a variety of fundraising activities
